POSITION: DRIVER

 

SOS Children's Villages Guinea-Bissau is a national non-governmental development association and a member of the International Federation of SOS Children's Villages, which since 1994 has been developing its activities to address the needs and concerns of children. SOS Guinea-Bissau develops and manages a wide range of programs and projects in Bissau, Gabú and Canchungo, including family strengthening programs, youth programs, primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, a vocational training center and various community projects. The National Directorate of SOS Children's Villages in Guinea-Bissau is looking to recruit a driver.

 

Type of contract: Fixed term.

 

Place of work: Gabu Village.

 

Job Summary

The driver is responsible for transferring SOS Villages employees, children and young people to their various destinations in the vehicle assigned to them, as well as making deliveries or collecting documents from public and private institutions.

 

 

Main missions

  • Keep the assigned vehicle clean.
  • Keep a record of the vehicle's preventive maintenance.
  • Check the level of gasoline, oil and the condition of the vehicle's tires daily.
  • Immediately report any breakdown or fault with the vehicle to their superior.
  • Transport employees, children and young people whenever necessary.
  • Transporting visitors in the vehicle and helping them with their luggage.
  • Running administrative errands, such as shopping, paying for services, cashing checks,
    deposits, mail delivery, etc.
  • Support special activities organized by the unit.
  • Participate in fundraising campaigns organized by the Unit.
  • Save daily mileage notes

 

 

Qualifications and skills required

  • Education : 12th grade finished
  • Driving license
  • Experience of more than 3 years as a driver in an organization will be an advantage.
  • Commitment, Responsibility, Integrity, Proactivity, Confidentiality, Good manners.
