Type of contract: fixed-term service contract

Job Summary

The main role Teacher contributes to the implementation of the established teaching and learning program, actively to its quality and to the improvement of the students' pedagogical and scientific skills.

Main tasks:

  • Participates in individual or collective coordination and planning meetings with the head of department,
  • Plans and teaches content according to the curriculum, guidelines and deadlines set by the educational manager, based on the defined calendar of activities.
  • Prepares all the pedagogical and didactic support material included in the lesson plan.
  • He mixes up the lessons with the students according to the plans.
  • Self-evaluate your lesson planning according to the results of its application.

Qualifications and skills required

  • Academic training and media pedagogy or higher
  • Two (2) years of teaching experience in the area of the above-mentioned subjects in qualified schools of which at least one (1) NGOs or International Development Project Organizations.
  • Experience in technical and pedagogical learning methods.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Portuguese.
  • Absolute honesty and integrity in the interests of SOS Children's Villages in Guinea-Bissau.
