Meet Lealdina, whose journey with SOS Children's Villages spans five years, a time filled with immeasurable warmth and connection. "My children and I share a bond of love and respect that I believe will continue even after I leave the SOS program. I am convinced that they will visit me and share moments as they have always done,” says Lealdina. Its story is that of a transformation, of a metamorphosis which has seen it evolve. She went from an experienced cook, who performed culinary wonders for government dignitaries, to an unwavering pillar of the SOS community.
After caring for her five children, she reoriented her life by dedicating herself to those who need a loving home. In the embrace of SOS, she found her purpose, her sanctuary. Today, Lealdina lovingly takes care of the needs of eight children in her care in the village of Bissau. The bond that unites him with each child is deep, woven with trust and understanding. “In my house,” shares Lealdina with a glint of hope in her eyes, “education is the center of attention. By guiding them towards the light of knowledge, I constantly remind them that education is the key of realizing their dreams."
