POSITION: MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR
SOS Children's Villages of Guinea-Bissau is a national non-governmental association of
development and a member of the International Federation of SOS Children's Villages, which since
1994, it has been developing its activities to meet the needs and concerns of children.
SOS Guinea-Bissau develops and manages a wide range of
programs and projects in Bissau, Gabú and Canchungo, including family strengthening programs, youth
programs, primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, a vocational training center and various community projects.

The National Directorate of SOS Children's Villages in Guinea-Bissau is looking to recruit a
Maintenance coordinator.
Type of contract: Fixed-term.
Place of work: Canchungo with travel in Bissau and Gabu.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the general maintenance of the infrastructures
electrical system, solar panel system, plumbing, carpentry of the program, for the
optimal development and functioning of the activities established by the Program, in
according to the organization's strategic objectives.
Main missions
- Participate in drawing up the annual budget, as far as their area is concerned
- Carrying out general and preventive maintenance on the houses and all the facilities in the
program, generator sets on a monthly basis, checking that they meet the
conditions - Carry out a general technical check of all the Program's facilities to foresee
any damage that occurs or may occur, on a monthly basis - Ensure the correct use and proper functioning of sanitary equipment
(toilets, cisterns, taps, showers, etc.) and the Program's electrical installations - Ensure the care of work tools and carry out a general inventory of the following
instruments, as well as a record of variations, to be submitted to the
Administrative Alternative care for approval - Helping to control and record the entry and exit of furniture for the program
- Ensure the safety of children and young people in the program
- Coordinate repairs to furniture and equipment that has suffered damage.

Qualifications and skills required
- Have at least a degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of national electrical regulations
- Good computer skills
- Have a good knowledge of Portuguese, French or English written/spoken technique
- Ability to work at height without apprehension
- At ease with digital tools (instant messaging or other)
- Experience in photovoltaic, tertiary or industrial electrical installations
