SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT FOR THE SOS CANCHUNGO CHILDREN'S VILLAGE (GUINEA BISSAU) PRE-QUALIFICATION OF COMPANIES
Bissau, October 31st, 2022
Competition number: 03/22
As part of the project to empower the SOS Children's Village Canchungo, SOS Children's Villages Guinea Bissau, is launching a notice of expression of interest for the pre-qualification of companies operating in the field of supply and installation of solar equipment and wishing to participate in the tender for the implementation of the solar energy empowerment project of its Canchungo site.
As the town of Canchungo has no national public electricity network, the SOS Village of Canchungo relies entirely on energy supplied by a diesel-powered generator. In the process of decarbonizing our SOS Villages, SOS Village d'Enfants Guinée and its partners are launching a notice of expression of interest for any company operating in the supply and installation of green energy equipment. Specifically, the supply and installation of solar generators to produce green energy at any time of the year for the operation of our facilities at the SOS Children's Village Canchungo site.
As there is no public network in Canchungo, we have no choice but to use the system OFF GRID. This requires the solar generator to be accompanied by a battery system to store the surplus energy produced by the solar panels during the day for use at night until dawn.
The project will mainly consist of:
- The installation of a series of solar fields with a total capacity of around 350 KWp
- Civil engineering works (construction of foundation for mounting panel supports, converter and battery shelters, etc. ....)
- Wiring and connection of the solar generator elements, commissioning of the generators and maintenance work for 12 months;
- Proposal of a maintenance procedure/manual for the generators installed and training for site staff.
Only qualified companies identified after prequalification will be invited to submit bids.
Conditions for participation in the preselection :
1. Companies with proven experience in the field of solar energy, established in Guinea-Bissau or a country of the sub-region and having already implemented a solar energy project in Guinea-Bissau, may participate in the pre-qualification.
2. Capacity of prooving your company have qualified staff with experience in energy auditing and sizing autonomous solar generators
3. Proof of at least one solar generator supply and installation project with a solar field of at least 5 KWp.
4. Prove not to have spent more than 30 consecutive months without carrying out solar generator supply and installation activities (with a capacity of at least 3Kwc of solar field). Solar generator supply and installation activities carried out in the country and countries in the sub-region are valid as proof.
From the companies that took part in the prequalification, we will select the best 3 or 4, who will be officially invited to submit bids.
